Migration in Film Series

The Migration in Film Series, established by Hannah Alarian in collaboration with the Center for Arts, Migration, and Entrepreneurship, is a free, community-wide event dedicated to highlighting global migration experiences. Each screening is paired with a discussion by local academics, artists, and immigrant and student organizations to foster conversations on migration’s portrayal in art and politics. Every film event occurs at a different community venue to provide a unique and accessible experience for the broader Gainesville community.
